THE CHANCE

Due to continued growth across North Queensland, Peak ARE is looking for a reliable, motivated and experienced Refrigeration Tradesperson to join our Mechanical Construction team in Townsville on a permanent, full-time basis.

You’ll work across new installations and refurbishment projects for our diverse commercial and industrial Client base, with a strong focus on quality workmanship, safe delivery and keeping projects moving.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

- Deliver day-to-day commercial refrigeration and air-conditioning installation works.

- Supervise and support labourers and apprentices as required.

- Coordinate daily tasks and help ensure materials, plant and contractors are organised and used efficiently.

- Maintain site safety, compliance and cleanliness in line with WHS&E; requirements and company standards.

- Support accurate ordering, procurement and project documentation.

- Complete or assist with project handovers and resolve site issues to keep works on schedule.

- Work closely with supervisors and management to maintain workflow and meet project performance targets.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- A strong commitment to high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.

- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

- Knowledge of refrigeration and chilled-water installation principles and industry best practice.

- Sound knowledge of basic construction principles.

- Strong attention to detail and pride in your work.

- Leadership qualities and the ability to support others on site.

- Previous commercial chilled-water experience is highly regarded, but not essential.





This is a hands-on construction role for someone who enjoys large-scale project work and wants long-term stability with a progressive regional business.

ESSENTIAL LICENCES & QUALIFICATIONS

- Current C Class Driver Licence

- Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration

- Current Refrigerant Handling (ARCtick) Licence

- Restricted Electrical Licence

- QBCC Worker Licence

- General Construction Card

- Security clearances and Blue Card

- Additional licences are highly regarded
