Nepean Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to join our High Dependency Unit on a Full Time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided.

Nepean Private Hospital is in the multi-cultural Western Sydney City of Penrith. The hospital is a modern 109 bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community since 2000 including: orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography and obstetrics.

As a Clinical Nurse Educator, your responsibilities will include:

- Identify educational needs by partnering with Nursing Leaders (i.e. DON, NUM, CNS)



and Clinical Support Functions (i.e. Quality, Infection Control)

- Lead and foster a learning environment
- Maintain qualified and constructive working relationship
- Prioritises Healthscope’s patient safety and quality frameworks

Essential Criteria:

- Authority to Work in Australia

- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent

- Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA

- Certificate IV Workplace Assessment & Training (TAE) or working towards

- Working with Children check

- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

- Demonstrated experience in eLearning platforms

- Knowledge of adult learning practises and contemporary education practises

- High degree of computer literacy including MS Office

- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team

- Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused

- Minimum 3-5 years post-registration experience in an acute critical care setting, with experience in a mixed High dependency unit (HDU), intensive care unit (ICU) or coronary care unit (CCU).

Desirable criteria:

- Advanced life support or willing to obtain

- Technical Competencies: Proven advanced clinical skills in high-acuity interventions, specifically 12-lead ECG interpretation,



Temporary Cardiac Pacing, Non-Invasive Ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP), invasive hemodynamic monitoring, and the management of vasoactive infusions.

- Clinical coaching and communication: Demonstrated ability to deliver effective bedside teaching, formulate education needs analyses and mentor diverse nursing staff utilizing high level interpersonal and ISOBAR communication frameworks.

- Post graduate certificate or diploma in critical care, acute care or cardiovascular nursing.
