WorkPac Health & Social Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with mining experience for a short-term contract at a mine site near Seymour, QLD (FIFO from Townsville or Brisbane). What You Will Be Doing

This role involves working 12-hour day shifts (06:00 – 18:00) as the sole RN on site, supported by an Emergency Services Officer (ESO) and Emergency Response Team (ERT). Responsibilities include:

- Providing immediate nursing care for injuries, illnesses, and medical emergencies

- Conducting drug and alcohol testing per site protocol

- Participating in emergency response drills

- Supporting occupational health programs (pre-employment and periodic assessments)

- Assisting with health promotion and preventative initiatives

- Coordinating with site safety, HR, and management teams

- Managing documentation and maintaining governance standards

- Overseeing ambulance transfers (as needed)

What You Will Need

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse





- Minimum 5 years post-grad experience, with recent mining or remote site work

- ALS Certification (valid and current)

- Manual Driver’s Licence

- Drug & Alcohol Testing Certificate

- National Criminal History Check (valid within 3 years)

- Two clinical references

- CV highlighting mining or remote site experience
