*About the work unit / facility The Townsville University Hospital Operating Theatre comprises 15 operating theatres, including a state-of-the-art Hybrid Operating Theatre. The service delivers Level 5 and Level 6 CSCF v3.1 services across a broad range of specialties, including:

Base salary range: $44.27 - $56.79 p.h.

About your opportunity In this role, you will work as part of a cooperative perioperative team, rotating across all elective and emergency operating theatres in both instrument and circulating nurse capacities. Successful candidates will participate in a rotating roster of AM and PM shifts to support continuity of patient care and safe service delivery. Shifts are rostered across a combination of 6, 8, 9 and 10-hour durations to ensure nursing coverage across operating theatre lists.

Once deemed competent, participation in the on-call roster is a mandatory requirement of the role.

Requirements

Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.

Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.

Appointees will be required to work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster, which may include participation in an on-call roster.
