Loddon Mallee Health Services (LMHS) is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with Urgent Care or Emergency Experience to join our casual nursing team. What you'll be doing

- Delivering direct patient care in urgent care and emergency department settings, assessing and responding to acute patient needs
- Conducting comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs monitoring and triage procedures
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by medical staff, ensuring accurate documentation
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintaining detailed and accurate patient records in accordance with regulatory and organisational requirements




- Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families during urgent or emergency situations
- Responding swiftly to clinical emergencies and providing emergency interventions as required
- Monitoring patient progress and reporting any changes in condition to medical staff
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised clinical environment
- Adhering to infection control protocols and health and safety standards

What we're looking for

- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Australia
- Substantial experience working in urgent care, emergency departments, or intensive care settings
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritise care in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in emergency nursing procedures and protocols
- Current knowledge of CPR and advanced life support certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure whilst maintaining professional standards
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple patients simultaneously




- A commitment to patient safety and quality care delivery
- Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to work variable shifts on weekends and public holidays as required for casual positions
- Experience with electronic health records and clinical documentation systems is advantageous
