This position will involve residential insurance repair and maintenance work throughout the Perth metro area, along with assisting the team on renovations and other residential construction projects. The role will involve completing a range of residential repair and maintenance works, often working independently across different jobs throughout the week.
Key responsibilities
- Skirting boards, architraves and scotia
- Doors, door furniture and minor adjustments
- Shelving and general timber repairs
- Minor carpentry works
- Fencing and external repairs
- Removal and reinstatement of damaged building items
- Minor patching and make-good works
- General property maintenance
- Assisting with bathroom and kitchen renovations
- Material collection and organisation
About you
- Has previous experience in residential maintenance, building, carpentry or a similar hands-on role
- Is competent across a broad range of general residential repairs
- Can work confidently without constant supervision
- Has good attention to detail and takes pride in their workmanship
- Is comfortable working in occupied homes and communicating with homeowners
- Is reliable, organised and punctual
- Can assess straightforward repair work and determine the materials required
- Is comfortable completing several smaller jobs throughout the working week
- Works cleanly and respects clients' homes
- Holds a current Australian driver's licence
