Meredith Respiratory and Sleep Centre in Bankstown, a leading respiratory and sleep centre is in need of a Respiratory Lab Technician/Scientist.
The Role includes, but is not limited to:
- Collection of patient medical information and history
- Performance of various respiratory tests including lung function, spirometry, asthma and allergy tests
- Accurate recording of results
- Prepare and monitor patients during testing
- Liaise with clinic Doctors and other staff
- Operate and maintain respiratory equipment in accordance with established guidelines
- Keeping up to date with improvements in procedures and changes in government requirements
- Assist with administrative tasks including booking of patients, monitoring supply of consumables and assisting reception with front desk duties
Required:
- Qualification or current enrolment in medical science or medical related degree essential
- Experience in conducting respiratory and related tests preferred but not essential
- Must be sufficiently confident to be able to work alone
- Valuable communication skills
- Enjoy dealing with the general public
- Good computer skills
- Willingness to work at other locations if required
- Willingness to assist with administration and front desk functions
Remuneration:
- $40 per hour plus superannuation
- 16 - 32 Hours per week, Monday to Fridays.
