Plate It Forward is looking for an experienced Restaurant or Venue Manager ready to take the next step into multi-site operations.

We’re a Sydney hospitality group and social enterprise using food to create positive social impact, including employment and training opportunities for people from refugee and asylum seeker backgrounds.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll support operations across three restaurants, with a robust focus on service standards, operations, systems and guest experience.

This is still a hands-on hospitality role. Around half your time will be focused on service and training, working alongside our managers and teams. The other half will focus on the commercial and operational side of the group.

What You’ll Do

- Coach and support Venue Managers and their teams
- Drive consistent service standards and guest experience across our restaurants
- Work alongside teams during key services and events
- Improve systems, standards and operational processes
- Maintain and optimise our reservations and point-of-sale systems
- Oversee venue repairs, preventative maintenance and presentation
- Monitor labour, budgets, stock and venue performance
- Support wine,



beverage and cocktail programs
- Work directly with the CEO on business priorities and future venue openings
- Work with our head office team to execute marketing and people strategies

About You

You’ll have 5+ years’ restaurant management experience, ideally in premium or quality dining, with strong service standards and a good understanding of restaurant financials.

You’re confident with wine and beverage, know how to develop people, and can move comfortably between leading a busy service and reviewing the numbers behind it.

You’re dynamic, flexible and comfortable working in a fast-moving business where priorities and WIP lists can change. You can adapt, reset priorities and keep things moving calmly and professionally.

You’re confident with technology, comfortable learning new systems and happy to figure things out as you go.

Multisite experience is a plus but you don’t need it to apply. If you’ve successfully run a restaurant and are ready for broader responsibility, particularly with a socially minded hospitality group, we’d love to hear from you.
