As a Retail Assistant at Cash Converters, you’ll be part of a fast‑paced team environment where customer service, product knowledge, and attention to detail come together. You’ll support daily store operations, help customers find what they need, and ensure our second‑hand goods are presented in their best possible condition.

Key Responsibilities

- Customer Service — Provide friendly, helpful service and build positive customer relationships.
- Sales Support — Assist customers with purchases, lay‑bys, and product enquiries.
- Merchandising — Maintain clean, organised displays and ensure stock is presented professionally.
- Product Assessment — Test, price, clean and prepare second‑hand goods for sale.
- POS Operation — Process transactions accurately and handle cash securely.
- Manual Handling — Safely lift, carry, and move items including furniture, appliances, and bulky goods.





The ideal candidate will have strong communication and customer service abilities, feel comfortable lifting and moving heavy or bulky items, and understand safe manual‑handling techniques. They should be reliable, punctual, and able to work confidently in a fast‑paced setting while following procedures accurately. Curiosity and confidence learning to work with a wide range of products is important, along with a steady, organised approach to daily tasks. The role also requires availability for Saturday trading, with flexibility offered across weekday hours Customer service experience is preferred, as it helps with confident communication and handling enquiries, however it isn’t essential for the right fit. We’re open to candidates who bring a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in working with second‑hand goods and customers.
