Ann Bakery Pty Ltd is an established bakery business operating in Toowoomba, Queensland. We offer a broad range of freshly baked breads, pastries, cakes and other bakery products to the local community.We are running 5 stores across Toowoomba region.

As our business continues to develop, we are seeking 3 experienced Retail Bakery Managers to manage the day-to-day retail operations of our bakery. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient store operations, maintaining high standards of customer service, supervising retail staff and coordinating closely with the bakery production team to ensure appropriate product availability throughout each trading day.

Key Duties and Responsibilities The Retail Bakery Manager will be responsible for:

- Managing and coordinating the day-to-day retail operations of the bakery to ensure efficient and consistent service throughout trading hours.
- Planning the bakery's retail product range and working with the production team to ensure appropriate quantities and varieties of breads, pastries, cakes and other products are available to meet customer demand.
- Monitoring stock levels, sales patterns, wastage and product demand and adjusting ordering and stock requirements accordingly.
- Managing the ordering and purchasing of retail supplies, packaging, ingredients and other items required for the effective operation of the store.
- Liaising with suppliers and maintaining effective supplier relationships, including reviewing pricing, product quality, availability and delivery arrangements.
- Monitoring retail prices and assisting with pricing decisions having regard to product costs, market conditions, margins and customer demand.




- Reviewing sales performance and financial information to identify trends, control costs and improve the profitability and efficiency of the bakery's retail operations.
- Assisting with the preparation and monitoring of store budgets, operating expenses and sales targets.
- Maintaining accurate records relating to sales, stock movements, purchases, wastage and other retail transactions.
- Recruiting, inducting, training, rostering and supervising retail employees to ensure appropriate staffing levels and effective store coverage.
- Allocating duties to retail staff, monitoring their performance and providing ongoing guidance and training to maintain service and operational standards.
- Establishing and maintaining customer service standards and ensuring customers receive prompt, professional and knowledgeable assistance.
- Responding to customer enquiries, feedback and complaints and resolving service issues in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Planning and implementing in-store promotions, product displays and local marketing initiatives to increase customer engagement and sales.
- Ensuring bakery products are attractively presented, correctly labelled and displayed in accordance with the business's quality and presentation standards.

Skills and Experience To be considered for this position, applicants should have:




- A relevant Diploma-level qualification or higher in retail management, business, hospitality management or a related field; or relevant retail management experience sufficient to demonstrate the skills required for the position.
- Demonstrated experience managing or supervising the operations of a retail business.
- Experience in a bakery, café, food retail or similar customer-facing environment will be highly regarded.
- Strong staff management, rostering, training and leadership skills.
- Good understanding of stock control, ordering, purchasing and inventory management.
- Ability to monitor sales, expenses, margins and other operational performance indicators.
- Strong customer service and complaint-resolution skills.
- Positive organisational skills and the ability to manage competing operational priorities.
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety and food hygiene requirements relevant to a food retail environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with both retail and bakery production teams.
