About us:

Servicing the local community from our retail store in Ferntree Gully, My Pool Shop Melbourne specialises in providing service and solutions to a wide range of pool and spa owners. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals with a passion for customer service to join our retail team over the summer period. Training and support will be provided but you must be eager to learn and you must be passionate about providing exceptional customer service.

About the role:

This is a contracted summer role with guaranteed hours. While it suits students perfectly all are welcome to apply. Ideally we are looking for candidates available full time but we will consider part time availability on a set roster including weekends.

Reporting to the store Manager you will assist with a range of responsibilities and requirements for the day to day operation of the store ensuring customers receive excellent service.

Main responsibilities of the role:

- Perform water tests using the latest water testing software and techniques
- Engage with customers regarding the results demonstrating strong product knowledge to assist customers in making the best product choice
- Recommend and sell a range of pool equipment and spare parts
- Contribute to the overall presentation of the store through merchandising and general housekeeping




- Replenishing stock according to company standards
- Assist in the implementation of promotional & visual merchandising initiatives
- Show initiative and be a great team player

What you can bring to the role:

- Must be available weekends
- You must enjoy helping customers, enjoy sharing knowledege and solving clients problems.
- You must be able to work in a busy environment
- 12 Months previous customer service experience
- A drive to learn and develop within an often fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A moderate to high level of computer literacy with proficiency in the Microsoft office suite and the ability to develop skills for POS and water testing software

•The ability to work well alone as well as within a team
