We are a busy and customer-focused kebab shop seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Store Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of our store. This is a full time position suited to an organized and responsible individual with experience in retail, takeaway food, quick-service restaurants, hospitality, or a similar customer-facing business.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the overall management of the store, including staff supervision, customer service, stock control, operational standards, sales performance and compliance with workplace and food-service requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

The Retail Store Manager will be responsible for:

- Managing and coordinating the overall day-to-day operations of the kebab shop;
- Supervising, training, supporting and monitoring store employees;
- Preparing staff rosters and ensuring appropriate staffing levels during busy and quiet trading periods;
- Maintaining high standards of customer service and handling customer enquiries, feedback and complaints;
- Monitoring store sales, operating costs and general business performance;
- Managing stock levels and arranging timely ordering of food ingredients, beverages, packaging and other store supplies;
- Liaising and negotiating with suppliers regarding orders, product availability, quality and delivery requirements;
- Checking incoming stock and ensuring appropriate storage and stock rotation procedures;
- Monitoring wastage and implementing appropriate stock-control measures;
- Ensuring the store is maintained in a clean, safe, organised and professional condition;
- Ensuring staff follow applicable food safety,



hygiene and workplace health and safety procedures;
- Managing opening and closing procedures and ensuring daily operational requirements are completed;
- Monitoring cash handling, point-of-sale transactions and daily reconciliation procedures;
- Assisting management with strategies to improve sales, customer satisfaction and operational efficiency;
- Addressing staffing and operational issues as they arise; and
- Ensuring the store consistently provides efficient and professional service to customers.

Qualifications and Experience:

Applicants should have

- At least one year of relevant experience in a retail store, takeaway food outlet, quick-service restaurant, hospitality business or similar environment;
- A relevant qualification appropriate to retail, business, hospitality, management or a related field;
- Previous experience supervising or coordinating staff;
- Good knowledge of stock control, customer service and daily store operations;
- Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills;
- Ability to work effectively in a busy and fast-paced environment;
- Ability to manage staff rosters, stock, suppliers and customer-service matters; and
- A reliable, responsible and hands-on approach to store management.

Experience within a kebab shop, takeaway food business or other fast-paced food retail environment will be highly regarded.
