About the role The Risk & Compliance Officer, plays a key role in strengthening risk, compliance and assurance across Ageing Australia. Working closely with leaders and teams, you’ll provide practical advice, coordinate risk and compliance activities and help embed a positive risk culture. This is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the organisation while supporting strong governance, effective controls and continuous improvement.

Please note this is a part-time 0.6 FTE position working three days per week.

Key responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for:

- Enterprise risk management: maintain and continuously improve the risk framework, registers, tools, controls, risk treatment plans and processes, while supporting leaders to identify,



manage and report risks.
- Compliance management: maintain the organisation’s compliance obligations, assist in maintaining compliance-related policies, monitor regulatory requirements and legislation, support compliance controls and attestations and coordinate breach investigations and remediation activities.
- Assurance management: coordinate audit and assurance activities, assist with Board and Committee reporting and maintain evidence and assurance documentation.
- Continuous improvement: identify opportunities to enhance risk, compliance and assurance processes and support the implementation of risk and compliance management technology solutions and reporting tools.

About you To be successful in this role you will bring:

- demonstrated experience in risk and compliance roles preferably in highly regulated environments
- strong understanding of risk and compliance frameworks and application in Australian regulatory environments
- experience maintaining risk registers and monitoring risk treatment actions
- experience supporting audit and assurance programs
- proven ability to set and manage multiple priorities and complete tasks to deadlines while adjusting to shifting priorities and challenges with a positive and flexible approach
- excellent interpersonal and strong written and verbal communication skills are essential
- strong digital literacy,



including advanced skills in record-keeping, word processing and document formatting including:
- using approved AI tools to increase efficiency
- proficiency in the Microsoft suite, collaboration tools and online meeting applications such as MS Teams & Zoom
- familiarity with digital contract management systems.
- exceptional attention to detail, with a proactive and resourceful approach to identifying and resolving issues, especially under time pressure
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be a proactive team player
- relevant Risk and/or Compliance certification will be highly regarded.
