About the Organisation: Our client is a global manufacturer specialising in sustainable packaging solutions for the consumer and healthcare sectors, with a strong reputation for safety, operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Operating across ANZ and internationally, the business manages complex, high-risk manufacturing environments where machine safety, risk-based decision making and strong operational discipline are central to day-to-day performance. Safety is firmly embedded into the way the business operates, with a continued focus on proactive risk management and continuous improvement.

About the Role:

This is a site-embedded Safety Advisor position based at their Acacia Ridge facility, a significant manufacturing site, bringing extrusion, printing and laminating operations together under one roof and supporting approximately 130 employees across a complex, high-risk production environment.

You will be providing practical and proactive support across all WHS functions while also contributing to broader business-wide safety initiatives. As the primary safety presence on site, you will work closely and be supported by the Site Leader, Production Manager and wider leadership team.

The site operates across three shifts, with extrusion running 24/7 and printing operating around the clock Monday to Friday. The Safety Advisor role itself is Monday to Friday, with flexibility to commence between approximately 6:00am and 7:30am. Daily production meetings are held at 8:00am,

giving the role strong visibility and regular interaction with operational leadership.

Success will come from strong shop-floor visibility, sound judgement and the ability to build credibility across the workforce. You will need the confidence to constructively challenge unsafe systems, processes and behaviours, while coaching and mentoring leaders and employees towards stronger safety practices and greater accountability.

Key Responsibilities include

- Lead and facilitate high-quality risk assessments across manufacturing operations
- Coaching and mentoring on WHS best practices
- Maintain and uplift hazard registers, SOPs, and safety documentation
- Drive machine safety and critical risk controls, including lock-out/tag-out and guarding
- Support incident investigations with a strong focus on root cause and system failures
- Coordinate toolbox talks, safety meetings, and ongoing workforce engagement
- Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 and relevant local regulatory requirements
- Prepare the site for annual internal audits

About You: You are a practical and approachable Safety Advisor who is comfortable operating independently in a high-risk manufacturing environment. You are an influential communicator and values driven collaborator, partnering with leaders and operators.

You will bring

- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (minimum)
- Proven experience in FMCG, manufacturing,

processing, or industrial environments
- Strong capability in machine safety, risk assessment, and hazard control
- Confidence influencing site leaders and engaging frontline teams
- A hands-on, floor-based approach- not office-bound
- The ability to operate without close mentoring or day-to-day supervision

What’s on Offer:

- Strong salary package, employee assistance and private health insurance discount program
- Management Incentive Program - Ability to earn annual bonus based on company achievement of KPI’s
- Full-time, permanent position with flexible start times
- Robust internal career development and mobility across ANZ
- Opportunity to contribute to site-level and broader safety initiatives
- Supportive site leadership with a genuine commitment to safety improvement
- Membership with the National Association for Women in Manufacturing (NAWO)
- Inclusive, values-led culture supporting diversity, equity, and professional growth

Please note, the successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical and background check.

How to Apply:

If you’re a hands-on Safety Advisor who enjoys being embedded on site and influencing real operational outcomes, we’d like to hear from you.

Apply with your resume in Word format. For a confidential discussion, please contact Michelle Mortimer on [0493 444 290](tel:0493 444 290).
