As our Safety & Wellbeing Lead, you'll play a key role in shaping how safety is delivered across the business. You'll partner with leaders, site teams and contractors to drive meaningful improvement, strengthen capability and embed a proactive safety culture.

What You'll Be Doing

Working closely with leaders, site teams and contractors, you'll:

- Lead safety initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Conduct site inspections and audits.
- Support contractor onboarding and compliance.
- Investigate incidents and implement practical solutions.
- Coordinate return-to-work and injury management programs.
- Deliver safety training, coaching and mentoring.
- Provide meaningful reporting and safety insights.
- Drive fleet and plant safety performance.
- Champion a strong safety culture across the business.

You'll also contribute to Safety in Design initiatives, SWMS reviews, contractor management and the ongoing improvement of WHS systems and processes.

What You'll Bring

Ideally,



you'll have 5-7 years' experience within Australian residential and/or commercial construction, with a strong understanding of construction methodologies, site risks and contractor management.

You may already be working in a WHS leadership, advisory or business partnering capacity. Equally, you may be an experienced Construction Manager, Site Supervisor or construction professional who has always been passionate about safety and is looking to formalise that passion into a long-term WHS career.

This isn't a desk-based safety role. We're looking for someone who can confidently walk onto a busy construction site, build credibility quickly, have meaningful conversations with trades and leaders, and turn safety theory and legislative requirements into practical solutions that actually work.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident status.
- Practical construction experience and a strong understanding of how sites operate within Australia.
- WHS experience or a demonstrated passion for workplace safety and continuous improvement.
- The ability to identify risks, implement practical controls and translate legislation into real-world site solutions.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to influence trades, subcontractors, leaders and stakeholders.
- A proactive, commercially minded and solutions-focused approach.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence coaching, mentoring and supporting others.
- A passion for developing people and improving safety culture.
- The willingness to challenge "the way we've always done it" and drive continuous improvement.
- A White Card and current driver's licence.





A WHS qualification is highly regarded; however, we also welcome applications from experienced construction professionals who are committed to undertaking further WHS study and developing their career in workplace health, safety and wellbeing. Experience with ReturnToWorkSA, injury management, incident investigations, contractor management systems, Safety in Design principles, WHS software platforms and safety reporting will be highly regarded.
