About the Role

We're seeking a reliable and community focused Parking Patrol Officer to join our team on a 3 month initial contract, working 35 hours per week at $36.29 per hour, within the Western Sydney region. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a challenging environment, communicates confidently, and is committed to maintaining safety, amenity, and compliance across local town centres.

Responsibilities

n

Parking Patrol Officers are responsible for providing a safe and healthy Council area by conducting effective and productive patrols of zones with parking restrictions, issuing Penalty Notices or warnings for breaches, and supporting broader compliance activities. Officers also assist with maintaining and improving the amenity of town centres and shopping strips by monitoring and actioning issues such as illegally dumped rubbish, littering, waste stored on Council land, footpath obstructions, and abandoned articles.

Key duties

- Conduct proactive patrols of regulated parking areas.
n




- Issue Penalty Notices or warnings in line with legislation and Council procedures.
n
- Monitor and report amenity issues including dumped rubbish, obstructions, and abandoned items.
n
- Provide professional customer service to community members and stakeholders.
n
- Follow established work practices and compliance guidelines.
n
- Work collaboratively within a team to support daily operational needs.
n
- Maintain accurate records and use computer systems confidently.

Essential Requirements

n

n
- Customer service experience in a challenging or high?volume environment.
n
- Computer literacy and advanced written and verbal communication skills.
n
- Ability to follow established work practices and procedural guidelines.
n
- School Certificate or equivalent.
n
- Willingness to undertake SEINS Penalty Infringement training and any other required training.
n
- Current NSW Driver Licence.
