WA RETURN RECYCLE RENEW
Perth
Job Description
People and Culture Coordinator - Containers for Change
n
Western Australia Return Recycle Renew (WARRRL) is the Scheme Coordinator for Containers for Change, leading Western Australia's recycling revolution.
n
In just over five years, we have helped divert more than 5 billion containers from landfill, growing the container recovery rate from 33% to 66%, and supporting a diverse network of over 300 refund points. These refund points create meaningful employment through commercial operators, social enterprises, and not-for-profit organisations across the state.
n
Now two years into our strategic plan, WARRRL is focused on delivering the next phase of impact.
n
Our vision is to create a circular economy for containers that delivers positive environmental and social outcomes for Western Australia.
n
The Opportunity
n
We are looking for an experienced People & Culture Coordinator to join our team on a Part-time (0.6FTE), 6-month fixed-term contract.
n
This is a broad and varied role supporting the delivery of People & Culture services across the employee lifecycle. Working closely with the Head of People & Culture and Senior People & Culture Advisor, you will help ensure our people processes are delivered consistently, professionally and with a strong focus on employee experience.
n
You will coordinate recruitment, onboarding, probation and offboarding activities, maintain accurate employee records and workforce data, support learning and development initiatives, and ensure P&C; systems, documentation and processes remain current and effective. You will also play an important role in continuous improvement activities, helping us strengthen our systems, processes and ways of working.
n
This role offers exposure across all areas of the People & Culture function and would suit someone who enjoys balancing operational delivery with process improvement and project work.
n
If you're looking for a flexible part-time prospect where you can make a genuine impact while working as part of a supportive and purpose-driven organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
n
About You

You have experience working in a People & Culture or Human Resources role and understand what it takes to deliver high-quality people processes and services.
n
You are organised, proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. You enjoy building strong relationships, supporting managers and employees, and finding practical ways to improve systems and processes.
n
You bring a strong customer-service mindset and take pride in ensuring things are completed thoroughly, accurately and on time. You're comfortable working independently, but equally enjoy collaborating as part of a small, high-performing team.
n
Most importantly, you are motivated by creating positive employee experiences and contributing to a workplace where people can do their best work.
n
Experience in a People & Culture, Human Resources, or similar role.
n
Demonstrated experience coordinating recruitment and employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding and offboarding.
n
Experience maintaining HRIS, employee records or workforce data with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
n
Solid administrative, organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
n
Experience preparing reports, maintaining registers and supporting compliance-related activities.
n
Experience developing, maintaining or improving systems, processes, templates or documentation.
n
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across an organisation.
n
Solid attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
n
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and confidence learning new systems.
n
A proactive, solution-focused approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
n
Commitment to inclusive workplace behaviours and workplace health and safety obligations.
n
Experience with Employment Hero or similar HR systems will be highly regarded.
n
Why This Role?
n
This role offers the opportunity to:
n
Work across the full employee lifecycle within a supportive People & Culture team.
n
Contribute to meaningful projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
n
Build broad HR experience in a purpose-driven organisation.
n
Enjoy flexibility through a part-time arrangement (0.6 FTE).
n
Be part of an organisation delivering positive environmental and social impact across Western Australia.
n
Our Culture and Benefits
n
At WARRRL, our people are central to our success. We are committed to creating a workplace that is safe, inclusive and accessible for all, where diversity is valued and different perspectives are welcomed.
n
We are proud to have completed our first Reconciliation Action Plan and continue to strengthen our relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. All applicants who self-identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander in their cover letter will be guaranteed an interview.
n
We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, along with opportunities for professional growth and development. Employee benefits include:

n

n
Regular team days and social activities
n
Access to wellbeing benefits and a wide range of discounts
