Position: Sales Assistant – Archies Footwear Pop-Up Store (Noosa Civic)
About us
Archies Footwear is a leading provider of arch-support footwear, specialising in stylish thongs and slides that combine comfort with support. We believe footwear should look great and support you all day. We are opening a pop-up shop at Noosa Civic Shopping Centre from 21 September 2026 to 31 January 2027, and we are looking for enthusiastic Sales Assistants to join us for the season.
The role
As a Sales Assistant you will help create a great shopping experience and share the benefits of our footwear with customers. Your day will include:
- Customer engagement: greet and assist customers, and explain the comfort and arch-support perks of our products.
- Sales processing: handle transactions and cash, operate our Shopify POS system, and work towards daily sales targets.
- Stock management: help with stock counts, restocking and inventory checks.
- Customer service: answer questions, solve problems and help customers find the right fit.
- Store presentation: keep the store clean, tidy and inviting.
- Product knowledge: learn our range so you can confidently advise customers.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong communication skills and confidence talking to customers.
- A friendly, positive and approachable attitude.
- Previous retail, sales or customer service experience.
- Reliability and a willingness to learn. Full training is provided.
- Availability across the school holiday and Christmas trading period.
Shifts Available
- Mon–Fri: 9am–1pm | 1pm–5:30pm
- Thu: 9am–2pm | 2pm–6pm
- Sat: 9am–5:30pm
- Sun: 10am–4pm
Extended trading hours apply in the lead-up to Christmas. Pay Rates (casual, from 1 July 2026):
Rates are paid under the General Retail Industry Award (MA000004), Retail Employee Level 1, and include the 25% casual loading.
- Monday to Friday: $34.76/hr
- Saturday: $41.72/hr
- Sunday: $48.67/hr
- Public holidays: $69.53/hr
Junior rates apply to employees under 21.
