About the role

We are seeking a Sales Assistant Auto Parts to join our team at AutoOne Woori Yallock on a full time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a dynamic retail environment where you will play a key role in delivering outstanding customer service and supporting the smooth operation of our automotive parts store. Located in Woori Yallock VIC 3139, this position offers the chance to develop your knowledge of automotive products while building strong relationships with our valued customers.

You will work in a fast-paced retail setting, assisting customers with their automotive parts requirements and contributing to the overall success of the store.

What you'll be doing

- Providing knowledgeable and friendly customer service to both retail customers and trade professionals seeking automotive parts and accessories
- Assisting customers in identifying the correct parts for their vehicles, offering product recommendations based on their needs
- Processing sales transactions using the point-of-sale system accurately and efficiently
- Restocking shelves and maintaining the shop floor to ensure products are well-organised, clearly labelled and easy to locate
- Managing inventory by checking stock levels and flagging items that require reordering
- Handling customer enquiries via phone and counter with professionalism and product knowledge
- Building rapport with regular customers to encourage repeat business and customer loyalty




- Assisting with promotional activities and window displays to maintain an attractive retail environment
- Supporting the wider store team to achieve sales targets and operational goals

What we're looking for

- Previous retail or customer service experience, preferably in automotive, hardware or parts retail environments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine enthusiasm for helping customers
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple customer interactions
- Basic knowledge of vehicle types and automotive parts, or a willingness to develop this knowledge
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and general computer literacy
- Physical capability to lift and handle stock items, as this role involves warehouse and shelf management duties plus delivery of 205L drums of oil.
- Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work flexibly including potential Weekend hours
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a team-oriented mindset
- Attention to detail and accuracy when processing transactions and managing stock
- Essential clean up to date Victorian Driving Licence (manual licence an advantage)
