This is a genuine external sales role for someone who enjoys being on the road, opening doors and winning new business.

You will take ownership of a Melbourne territory, selling site equipment into the construction, civil and industrial markets. The focus is firmly on business development, identifying active projects, creating new opportunities and building relationships with key decision-makers across the market.

The Role

You will spend the majority of your time in the field, targeting recent customers and developing opportunities across commercial construction, civil infrastructure and industrial projects.

This is not a heavily account-management-focused position. The business is looking for someone who is proactive, commercially driven and comfortable generating their own pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

- Generate new business through prospecting, cold calling and site visits
- Identify active construction, civil and industrial projects across Melbourne
- Build relationships with contractors, builders, project managers and site personnel
- Develop and grow your territory
- Manage existing accounts where further opportunities exist
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and CRM activity




- Consistently achieve sales and revenue targets

About You
- Proven experience in external B2B sales
- Strong new business development and prospecting ability
- Comfortable selling into construction, civil or industrial markets
- Confident dealing with customers face-to-face and on-site
- Self-motivated, resilient and target-driven
- Able to work autonomously and manage your own territory

Experience within construction products, equipment hire, site equipment, trade supplies or industrial sales would be highly regarded.
