Door Seven Haunted House is looking for confident and energetic Scare Actors to join our team and bring our immersive horror experience to life.
This is a highly interactive performance role suited to someone who loves acting, horror and entertaining guests. You will perform as different characters throughout the attraction, creating memorable scares while helping maintain a safe and enjoyable experience for every group.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scripted and improvised characters within the haunted house
- Deliver energetic, convincing and well-timed scares
- Adapt performances to suit different groups and situations
- Remain in character throughout each experience
- Learn character movements, storylines and scare sequences
- Work closely with other actors, hosts and venue management
- Follow all safety procedures and guest interaction guidelines
- Assist with resetting performance areas and keeping spaces presentation-ready
- Report damaged props, technical issues or safety concerns
About You
- A genuine passion for acting, performance and immersive entertainment
- Acting, theatre, haunted attraction or performance experience is preferred
- Confident performing in front of and interacting with guests
- Comfortable wearing costumes, makeup and masks
- Able to improvise and respond quickly to unexpected situations
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team
- Physically capable of performing in a rapid-paced environment
- Comfortable working in dark spaces with loud noises, flashing lights, haze and horror effects
- Available to work evenings, weekends, school holidays and public holidays
