About the DBS program
Western Australia is a global leader in lithium production, and the Research and Innovation Group of ChemCentre is leading a collaborative research program to investigate the safe and sustainable reuse of Delithiated Beta Spodumene (DBS), a by-product generated during lithium refining. About the roles
As part of the DBS initiative, we are seeking motivated Scientists (Chemist and Research Officers) to undertake research, data analysis and risk assessment. You will contribute to cutting-edge research and innovation activities, including environmental suitability assessments, human health and environmental risk evaluations, product characterisation, standards development, demonstration projects and regulatory support.
We are looking for professionals with qualifications and strong skills in chemistry, environmental science or a related discipline, and an interest in applying scientific knowledge to real-world challenges. You will bring experience in scientific research, laboratory testing, data analysis and technical reporting, with the ability to interpret complex information and communicate practical findings to stakeholders.
An understanding of environmental geochemistry and hydrogeology, circular economy initiatives and sustainable resource management will be highly regarded.
