About the RoleAs a Security Technician with Macquarie Alarms & Security, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining high-end alarm, IP CCTV, and access control systems for our commercial, residential, and community clients across Orange and the Central West region. This is a hands-on position ideal for a trade-qualified technician who takes pride in technical excellence, clean workmanship, and providing reliable solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Installation &

• Integration: Install, program, and commission electronic security systems, including networked IP CCTV, commercial access control, and intruder alarm systems.
- Maintenance &

- Upgrades: Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, system upgrades,



and firmware/software updates across client sites.
- Diagnostics &
- Repair: Troubleshoot and diagnose complex technical faults, network issues, and hardware failures on site.
- Client Engagement &
- Support: Hand over completed systems to clients, providing clear operational training, basic maintenance guidance, and user documentation.
- Job Management &
- Safety: Complete accurate job sheets, test equipment to ensure compliance with safety/AS2201 standards, and collaborate with the team to schedule service calls efficiently.

Requirements & Qualifications

- License: Current Class 2C Security License and ACMA Open Cabler Registration (or ability to hold).
- Technical Experience: Practical experience installing and configuring intruder alarms, IP CCTV, and integrated access control platforms.
- Networking Knowledge: Solid understanding of IP networking, router configuration, and device networking for security systems.
- Driver's License: Current, unrestricted NSW Driver’s License.
- Soft Skills: Explicit communication skills, pride in neat work practices, and a strong customer-service focus.
