About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Accountant to join our growing Finance team.
This role is responsible for managing key accounting functions across the organisation, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, maintaining strong internal controls and providing valuable financial insights to support business decision-making.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements while contributing to the ongoing improvement of financial processes, systems and reporting frameworks.

Please note that this is a full-time, office-based position located in Parramatta. The role is performed onsite Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm. Work from home arrangements are not available for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly,
quarterly and annual financial reports, management accounts and statutory reporting.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journals, accruals, reconciliations and financial analysis.
- Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and oversee complex balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management, providing meaningful financial insights to support business performance and decision-making.
- Conduct variance analysis, identify trends and provide recommendations to improve financial and operational outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation obligations, internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audit processes and maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Identify and implement process improvements, system enhancements and automation opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy and financial governance.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, providing trusted financial support, advice and commercial insights.
- Mentor and support junior finance team members while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing finance function.
- Assist with strategic projects, business initiatives and other finance responsibilities as required.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
Essential
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
- CA or CPA qualified, or actively working towards completion.
- 4-7+ years' accounting experience within a financial accounting, management accounting or corporate finance environment.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and reconciliation expertise.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex balance sheet reconciliations and month-end processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and financial reporting capabilities.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience improving financial processes, controls and reporting frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building capability.
- High attention to detail, accuracy and accountability.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Desirable
- Experience working within a growing, acquisitive or transformational business environment.
- Exposure to ERP systems and finance system implementations.
- Experience leading projects, mentoring team members or supervising junior staff.
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience working across multi-entity or diversified business structures.
