About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team in the Chatswood office five days a week. This is a hands-on role reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, offering exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to contribute to process improvement and best-practice financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end management of the accounts payable function
- Processing high-volume supplier invoices accurately and on time
- Managing payment runs and supplier reconciliations
- Maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
- Reviewing and improving AP processes and controls
- Assisting with month-end close and reporting requirements
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards
- Supporting audits and responding to AP-related queries
- Support month end reconciliations to statement balances
- Support stocktake reconciliations
- Problem solving skills
- Fleet management
About You
- Proven experience in a Senior Accounts Payable or similar role
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Confident communicator with a proactive and professional approach
- Experience working closely with senior finance leadership (CFO or Finance Manager)
- Accounting or finance qualifications
- Experience with accounting systems (Xero or similar ERP highly regarded)
