About Us

Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is an exceptional environment to advance your career while enhancing your skills and expertise. The Primary Care and Community Health Unit consists of 9 centres that provide a range of services for children, young people and their families, adults, older people and their carers. Our services range from health promotion, prevention and early detection through to assessment, treatment and continuing care. Our staff work in partnership with schools, GPs, hospitals, non-government agencies and other organisations to provide care across our centres, in people’s homes, other community venues as well as virtual care (telehealth).

Are you an experienced administrative qualified with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service? We are seeking a motivated and proactive Senior Administration Coordinator to lead a dedicated administration team within a busy Community Health Centre environment.

In this pivotal role, you will provide leadership, guidance and day-to-day support to a small administration team, ensuring the delivery of efficient, high-quality administrative services to clients, visitors, clinicians and managers.



You will play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional experience for patients and stakeholders while supporting the smooth operation of centre activities.

Working closely with the Administration Support Manager, you will assist with the supervision and coordination of administration staff and functions, ensuring workloads are managed effectively and service standards are consistently achieved. You will foster a positive team culture, provide mentoring and support to staff, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and customer service outcomes.

The successful candidate will bring demonstrated experience in administration within a complex service environment, along with excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills. You will be confident in leading and supporting staff, managing competing priorities, and building strong working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

What you will bring to the role

1. Demonstrated skills and experience in managing a small team.
2. Demonstrated experience in providing reception, switchboard, customer service and administration support functions.
3. Demonstrated understanding of corporate or healthcare records systems such as Content Manager, iPM, Cerner and knowledge of record keeping practices.
4. Demonstrated well developed verbal and written communication skills.
5. Strong computer skills, with demonstrated experience in using the suite of Microsoft Office products and experience in the use of online procurement and staff rostering systems, such as Oracle iProcurement, CosNet, HealthRoster or other proprietary software.
6. Well-developed organisational, prioritisation and time management skills with demonstrated ability to use initiative and judgement in managing day-to-day operational activities.
7. Demonstrated experience in minute taking.
8. Current driver’s licence and willingness to use for work purposes.
