Senior Automation Test Analyst

Purpose of the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Automation Test Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and evaluating automated test scripts to ensure the delivery of high-quality applications. You’ll lead initiatives to improve our QA automation framework, including evaluating existing tools like Postman and recommending scalable solutions such as Selenium or Cypress.

This role involves not only hands-on testing but also guiding and enabling internal teams through the implementation of a robust, long-term QA strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Testing Strategy & Framework

- Rapidly review and assess existing QA landscape, tools, and processes to identify areas for improvement including automation
- Select and implement suitable automation tools if needed (eg, Selenium, Cypress)
- Lead the design and implementation of a reusable testing framework with CI/CD pipeline integration and automation if required
- Set up new testing environments and reusable components to support scalable test automation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve testing frameworks and automation coverage
- Support a shift-left testing approach, embedding quality practices early in the development lifecycle

Other Responsibilities

- Develop performance benchmarking and load testing suites
- Identify and close test coverage gaps, address dependencies, and assess testing risks
- Write comprehensive bug reports and coordinate with stakeholders for resolution
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and validation for quarterly software releases
- Conduct system integration testing and verify end-to-end workflows
- Assist with data acquisition and processing for algorithm development
- Monitor quality metrics, manage defects, and support Agile development workflows





Selection Criteria

Essential

- Demonstrated experience in QA consulting or test automation strategy
- Practical experience with API and UI automation tools (eg, Postman, Selenium, Cypress)
- Practical experience using AI tools, in particular Claude
- Proficiency with testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver tailored solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong documentation practices

Desirable

- Experience in cloud-based test automation and integration with Azure DevOps or equivalent
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working within consultancy or delivery teams
- Robust stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate across technical and business levels
- Experience developing and maintaining test harnesses, frameworks, and automation tools across UI, API, and database layers
- Exposure to agentic or self-healing automation tools
- Awareness of broader testing needs beyond Agile ceremonies to support comprehensive test strategies
- Capability to monitor and report on test activity, coverage, and success metrics—including manual testing

Technical Skills

- C# 90 / NET 5
- Selenium with C#
- RestSharp
- Postman or similar REST API clients
- JMeter
- Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence
- Docker (building and running containers)
- Test case management tools
- Knowledge of the API lifecycle and management
