Due to continued growth and increasing demand, we're looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our leadership team on a full-time basis.
About the Role
This is not a standard bookkeeping role.
You'll manage a portfolio of clients, support and mentor our bookkeeping team, and become a key technical resource within the business.
You'll work closely with the Founder, helping to ensure our clients receive exceptional service, whilst supporting the continued growth of the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of bookkeeping clients
- Review work completed by intermediate bookkeepers
- Handle complex bookkeeping and reconciliation matters
- Manage payroll and award interpretation queries
- Prepare and review BAS and IAS work
- Provide management reporting and financial insights
- Lead client meetings and maintain strong client relationships
- Support onboarding of new clients
- Mentor and develop junior team members
- Assist with improving processes and systems
About You
You will excel in this role if you:
- have 5 years’ experience working as a bookkeeper;
- are highly proficient with Xero;
- are experienced with BAS preparation;
- have payroll experience across multiple industries;
- can confidently and professionally communicate with business owners;
- enjoy solving complex problems;
- naturally take ownership and accountability and enjoy working autonomously;
- are keen for a leadership role where you can help others develop and grow; and
- are looking for a long-term career with an established firm.
Bonus points if you
- have healthcare, medical, dental or allied health industry experience;
- have experience managing other bookkeepers; and/or
- have experience with workflow and process improvement.
