I’m working with a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy looking to appoint a Senior Civil Engineer within its growing Buildings team in Perth.

This is a particularly strong opportunity for a technically capable Civil Engineer who wants more than another Senior Engineer position. The role offers a genuine pathway into a Project Technical Lead / leadership position as the Perth team continues to grow.

The Chance

You’ll take ownership of the civil engineering delivery associated with major building projects across sectors including healthcare, defence, commercial, education and industrial .

This is a hands-on technical leadership role , rather than a pure project management position. You’ll remain involved in design and technical decision-making while taking greater responsibility for project delivery, client relationships and mentoring junior engineers and designers.

Your responsibilities will include

- Leading site civil design across earthworks, stormwater/drainage, site grading, servicing, pavements and car parks
- Delivering projects from feasibility and concept design through to construction support
- Coordinating civil design with architects, structural, hydraulic and other building services disciplines
- Managing project budgets, programmes and technical quality
- Reviewing drawings, reports, specifications and authority submissions
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers, designers and drafters
- Building strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Contributing to the continued growth of the Civil capability in WA

What We’re Looking For Ideally, you’ll bring:
- 7–10+ years’ civil engineering consulting experience




- Strong experience delivering site civil works associated with building projects
- Technical capability across earthworks, drainage/stormwater, grading, water and sewer servicing
- Experience coordinating civil design around building footprints, finished floor levels, basements and car parks
- Experience managing multiple projects and taking ownership of delivery
- Knowledge of Australian Standards and WA authority requirements
- Experience across the full project lifecycle
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- Experience mentoring more junior team members
- Working knowledge of DRAINS, 12D and AutoCAD/Civil 3D
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Chartered status, or progress towards Chartership, will be highly regarded

Candidates coming from broader land development or infrastructure backgrounds may also be considered where they can demonstrate strong, transferable site-civil experience. Why Consider This Opportunity?
