The Role
As the Senior Community Safety Officer, you will play a key role in delivering Community Safety services across the municipality. Reporting to the Coordinator Community Safety, you will undertake compliance, investigation and enforcement activities across a range of service areas, while providing technical leadership, mentoring and support to Community Safety Officers. As Council's Municipal Fire Prevention Officer (MFPO), you will lead fire prevention initiatives and contribute to risk reduction programs across the municipality.
Working closely with residents, businesses, emergency services and government agencies, you will help create a safer, more resilient and liveable community through professional regulatory service delivery and stakeholder engagement.

About You
You are an experienced regulatory and community safety professional with solid technical knowledge and a demonstrated ability to interpret, apply and enforce legislation across a diverse range of community safety function. You have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, sound judgement, and experience managing complex and sensitive matters.
You are confident providing technical guidance, mentoring and support to others, making informed decisions, and working collaboratively to achieve positive community outcomes.
A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach will see you thrive in this diverse and rewarding role.
