About the role The Senior Data Analyst leads the delivery and continuous improvement of Metro’s analytics, data strategy, and governance initiatives. This role is responsible for driving high quality, accurate, and insightful reporting across the organisation, while developing frameworks that strengthen data quality, governance, and maturity. You will actively research and recommend data strategies aligned with Metro’s business goals. You will develop and recommend data governance frameworks, policies and standards. You will also provide technical leadership for Metro’s data and analytics environment, including data models, reporting architecture and development standards of analytical products.

What you'll need

- 5+ years in data analysis or related roles
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective data and analytics development practices
- High-level interpersonal skills with experience collaborating with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions
- Strong keyboard and computer literacy, with the ability to use a range of software and advanced data analytics tools (including contemporary programming languages, big data platforms, AI/ML platforms and BI tools) to enhance work performance, particularly in supporting effective communication
