Company Overview Profusion is working with a well-renowned, market-leading financial services organisation that is undertaking a significant transformation of its investment data technology environment.

They are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a high-performing technology team and play a key role in the backend migration and modernisation of a critical enterprise Investment Data Platform.

Role Overview

This role will see an experienced backend/data engineer with strong Python Development skills work collaboratively with a team of highly skilled Investment Data Technology specialists and investment stakeholders.

You will help design, build and migrate scalable backend data solutions using AWS, Databricks, Python and SQL, supporting critical investment, reference and security data across the organisation.

Experience and Skills

- Excellent Python and SQL development skills
- Commercial Databricks engineering experience
- Strong Data migration experience
- Strong backend and data engineering experience
- Experience building and maintaining complex ETL / ELT and data pipelines
- Experience with large-scale enterprise data platforms




- Investment Management, Asset Management, Superannuation or Financial Markets experience highly regarded
- Experience with Investment Data Platforms highly regarded
- Security Master, Reference Data, Market Data and/or Investment Data experience advantageous
- Strong understanding of data modelling, data quality and data integration
- Cloud data engineering experience
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
