Our client is a well-established gold mining company with a strong reputation as one of Australia's leading gold employers, offering genuine pathways for career advancement.

They're looking to add a Senior Environmental Advisor to their site-based team, working a 2:2 roster on a permanent, full-time basis. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring all company and contracting personnel are well-informed, educated and supported in understanding their environmental responsibilities across site.

The Role

Reporting into site leadership, you'll take a lead role in environmental compliance, monitoring and reporting across the operation, while mentoring junior environmental staff.

Key responsibilities include:

- Maintaining ongoing compliance with environmental legislation and internal company standards
- Preparing and keeping statutory environmental documentation up to date, along with investigating incidents and driving corrective actions through to completion
- Managing monitoring obligations tied to licences, approvals and closure plans, including groundwater management and tenement conditions
- Coordinating the collection,



analysis and reporting of environmental data to support approval and licence conditions, proactive monitoring and incident investigations
- Acting as a key point of contact for regulators and playing an active role in supporting internal and external audits
- Maintaining and continuously improving the site's Environmental Management System
- Supporting the development of junior environmental team members through mentoring and on-the-job guidance

About You

- At least 5+ years' experience in a comparable site-based role, with a background in mining and hands-on environmental monitoring
- Solid understanding of WA mining-related environmental legislation
- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or a related field, along with a current C-class driver's licence
