About the Role

We're partnering with a well-established Australian manufacturer specialising in the design and production of custom machinery for the food industry. With a strong reputation for delivering innovative, high-quality equipment, they're looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Brisbane engineering team.

This is a hands-on design role where you'll take ownership of projects from concept through to manufacture, working closely with internal stakeholders to develop practical, fit-for-purpose machinery tailored to customer needs. If you enjoy solving engineering challenges and seeing your designs come to life, this is an excellent opportunity to make a genuine impact.

Key Responsibilities

- Design custom mechanical equipment using 3D CAD software
- Develop detailed manufacturing drawings and BOMs
- Manage projects from concept through to production and commissioning




- Liaise with production teams to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable
- Ensure designs comply with Australian Standards and industry requirements

What You'll Bring

- Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer
- Proven experience in mechanical design engineering
- Solid proficiency with 3D CAD design software (SolidWorks, Inventor or similar)
- Experience designing custom machinery or industrial equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects

Salary & Benefits

- $120,000 - $150,000 + Super
- Permanent full-time office-based role in Logan, Brisbane
