Reportingto the Head of Senior School, the Deputy Head of Senior School –Academic Excellence and Growth provides leadership for curriculum,pedagogy, assessment, reporting and academic achievement acrossYears 7 to 12. The role oversees the successful delivery ofLauriston's VCE and IBDP programmes and is responsible for ensuringhigh standards of learning, academic progress and studentachievement across the Senior School.

As amember of the Senior School Executive Team,



the position worksclosely with Heads of Faculty, curriculum leaders and the DeputyPrincipal – Learning and Innovation to strengthen academicprogrammes, build leadership capability and support theimplementation of Senior School learning priorities. The role also plays an important part in curriculum development, academic pathwayplanning and fostering a culture of high expectations andcontinuous improvement.

Weare seeking a candidate with:

- Demonstratedexperience in educational leadership, with a strong backgroundin curriculum, teaching and learning
- Significantexperience with the VCE and/or IBDP and a sound understandingof contemporary assessment and reporting practices
- Theability to lead strategic initiatives that enhance studentlearning, academic growth and achievement
- Experienceleading, mentoring and developing staff and academicleaders
- Strongcapability in building productive partnerships with students,families and colleagues
- Experienceusing data and evidence to inform decision-making and drivecontinuous improvement
- Outstandingcommunication,
