Full-time or Part-time | $60–$65 p/h + 14% super + company vehicle
We're looking for an experienced Fire Detection Technician to join our small team at Fire Axe. Rate is negotiable and will depend on experience.
We're a small, established fire protection business with long-term clients across Brisbane and SEQ. We value trust, technical expertise and doing right by our customers. We're looking for someone who shares those values and wants to become an important part of our team.
The role The role will primarily involve:
- Servicing, testing and maintaining fire detection and alarm systems in accordance with AS 1851
- Advanced fault finding and diagnosis
- Programming and commissioning FIPs
- Detection repairs, modifications and upgrades
- Identifying defects and providing practical recommendations to clients
- Quoting minor installation and rectification works
- Completing clear and accurate reporting in Uptick
- Participating in an on-call roster
What we're looking for You must be an experienced fire detection technician who is comfortable working autonomously.
Essential
- Current driver's licence
- Relevant QBCC fire protection licences (or ability to transfer interstate licences)
- Strong practical knowledge of AS 1851 and AS 1670
- Strong detection fault-finding skills
- Experience across systems such as Ampac, Pertronic,
Notifier and similar
- Experience programming and commissioning fire panels
- Good communication and customer service skills
Highly Desirable:
- Experience in quoting install and rectification work
- Queensland Electrical licence
