Youth Justice Commissioning Investment and Innovation works with service providers, youth justice regions and governments to deliver quality and culturally appropriate youth justice services that are integrated into existing service systems.
The Senior Funding Officer will provide operational advice, information and administrative support to facilitate the effective management of social services service procurement and grant funding activities in accordance with legislative requirements, funding policy and departmental procedures.

- Providing high level expertise in the administration of OSD and Grant Funding programs, including funding approvals, vendor management, payment processing, invoicing, financial recording, monitoring, reconciling and reporting in accordance with the Community Services Act 2007 (CSA), the Financial Accountability Act (FAA), and departmental funding policy and procedures.
- Monitoring and managing OSD and grant funding budgets, including analysing financial data, identifying funding trends and risks, reconciling expenditure and providing accurate financial reporting to support decision making and funding accountability.
- Analysing complex funding administration and financial management issues impacting OSD and grant-funded services, interpreting financial and operational data and developing recommendations to address risks, improve processes and ensure compliance with legislative and policy requirements.
- Providing operational and strategic advice to managers,
program areas and contract and grant management staff on funding administration maters, including budget management, financial performance, reconciliations, acquittals, debt recovery activities, and funding compliance obligations.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders regarding OSD and grant funding administration and working collaboratively to resolve complex funding issues and/or any outstanding contractual, financial or compliance requirements.
- Supporting effective contract and grant management by providing specialist advice and operational assistance to program areas, contract managers and funded non-government organisation (NGOs) to promote sound financial management, accountability, and service delivery outcomes.
- Coordinating and administering funding compliance activities, including the assessment and review of financial acquittals, AASs, AFSs, debt recovery processes and other financial accountability requirements.
- Developing, implementing and continuously improving systems, processes and business practices to enhance the productive, effective and compliant administration of OSD and grant funding programs, including funding approvals, payments, vendor management, and financial reporting.
- Preparing and reviewing complex reports, audits, financial analyses, executive briefs, presentations, correspondence and other documentation to support departmental decision making, governance and accountability requirements.
