Hey you!
We're looking for a creative, organised, and results-driven Senior Marketing Coordinator to join genU's Brand, Marketing, Communications, Fundraising, and Inclusion team on a 12-month parental leave contract.
In this role, you'll lead the planning and delivery of marketing and communications activities for Perth's longest-running and most iconic fun run, Chevron City to Surf for GenU, while helping drive the growth and profile of City to Surf Karratha.
Working closely with the Events Team, sponsors, agencies, media partners, and stakeholders across the organisation, you'll develop and deliver integrated marketing campaigns that increase participation, drive community engagement, strengthen brand awareness, and support fundraising outcomes.
This role is ideal for an experienced marketing professional who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, thrives in a fast-paced event environment, and is passionate about creating campaigns that deliver measurable results and meaningful community impact.
Every fundraising dollar generated through City to Surf helps support GenU's work in creating inclusive communities and opportunities for people living with disability.

- Develop and deliver integrated marketing and communications campaigns to drive event participation, fundraising, sponsorship outcomes, and brand awareness.
- Coordinate marketing activities across digital, social media, website, email, media, and traditional marketing channels.
- Create engaging content, campaign assets and communications that enhance the participant experience and strengthen the City to Surf and GenU brands.
- Manage website content,
email marketing, social media platforms, and digital advertising campaigns.
- Work collaboratively with external agencies, media partners, sponsors, event stakeholders and internal teams to deliver campaign objectives.
- Monitor campaign performance, analyse results, and provide insights and recommendations to optimise future activity.
- Support participant communications and customer journey initiatives from registration through to event day and beyond.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to grow event participation, fundraising and community engagement.
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing or a related discipline.
- Minimum five years' experience in a similar marketing role, with demonstrated success delivering integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, and traditional channels.
- Strong copywriting, content creation, and storytelling skills.
- Experience managing social media platforms, email marketing, website content management systems, and digital advertising campaigns. Exposure to traditional media channels, including television and radio advertising, is advantageous.
- Knowledge of SEO, SEM, Google Analytics, and campaign reporting.
- Knowledge of current marketing, branding, publishing, and content development trends.
- Strong stakeholder relationship management and project coordination skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic event environment.
(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
Bonus points for
- Experience creating marketing collateral and visual content, with graphic design skills and experience using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
- Experience using Google Workspace, Meta platforms, and social media management and reporting tools is desirable.
- Experience in events, sport, fundraising, not-for-profit, or community engagement environments will be highly regarded.
