Independent risk oversight across a large-scale commodity and treasury trading book.

This role sits within a market and treasury risk function that challenges trading and treasury activity, monitors limits, and keeps risk governance sharp across the business. You'll own senior oversight for a defined commodity or treasury portfolio (electricity, gas, environmental products, FX, interest rate, liquidity or funding risk), with direct exposure to senior stakeholders and governance forums.

What you'll own:

- Independent oversight and challenge across a defined risk portfolio, keeping activity within policy, limits and appetite
- Investigation of emerging risks, policy breaches and control failures, driving escalation and remediation
- Development of risk frameworks, valuation methodologies and stress-testing approaches




- Governance reporting into Risk Management and Treasury Risk Committees
- Coaching and capability-building across the risk team

What you'll bring:

- Strong background in market, treasury or liquidity risk within commodities, financial markets, energy, banking or similar
- Track record of independent risk challenge with senior stakeholders
- Sharp analytical judgement and explicit communication of technical risk into business terms
- Excel / Power BI / SQL / Python exposure a plus
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
