Senior Network Engineer

Sydney | Contract Opportunities | Enterprise Workplace | 6 months contract

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a high-performing infrastructure team responsible for the design, implementation, support, and optimisation of complex enterprise network environments. This role will see you working across critical network infrastructure, delivering project and operational outcomes while ensuring stability, performance, and security across the enterprise network landscape.

About the Role

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible for:

- Designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network solutions
- Managing and maintaining routing, switching, firewall, and load-balancing technologies
- Performing network troubleshooting, incident resolution, and root cause analysis
- Implementing infrastructure changes, upgrades, and migrations
- Producing and maintaining technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures
- Supporting network security initiatives and connectivity requirements
- Contributing to network automation and infrastructure-as-code practices
- Providing technical leadership and guidance during project delivery and operational activities

Key Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in:
- Cisco routing and switching technologies
- BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VRFs, and network segmentation
- Cisco ACI, APIC, and Nexus platforms
- Cisco ASA firewalls and security technologies
- F5 LTM/GTM load balancing solutions (or equivalent technologies)
- VPN, firewall, and secure network connectivity solutions
- Network automation and Infrastructure-as-Code tools and methodologies
- Enterprise network troubleshooting across complex environments
- Change management, rollback planning, risk assessment,



and technical documentation

Desired Qualifications

- Cisco certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent
- Experience working within large enterprise or highly regulated environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate across multidisciplinary technical teams
