About The Opportunity

As a Senior Payroll Officer, you will:

- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing to ensure accurate, timely payments in line with legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, and organisational policies.
- Act as the key payroll contact point, providing clear, responsive, customer-focused advice and support to employees and managers.
- Maintain payroll compliance, controls, and data integrity, ensuring records, systems, and processes meet governance and risk requirements.
- Apply and interpret payroll legislation and frameworks, escalating complex matters where required.

As a Payroll Coordinator, You Will





- Coordinate the end-to-end payroll cycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legislation, enterprise agreements, and University policies.
- Proactively review payroll processes and systems, identifying opportunities to streamline, digitise, and improve efficiency.
- Conduct compliance checks, audits, and reconciliations to safeguard payroll integrity.
- Provide advice on payroll matters, including entitlements, overpayments, deductions, and award/classification changes.
- Support internal and external audits, while building stronger governance and risk management frameworks.

About You You will be able to demonstrate:

- Demonstrated experience delivering payroll services in a complex, regulated environment.
- Strong customer focus, accountability, and the confidence to challenge existing practices constructively
- Solid knowledge of employment legislation, industrial instruments, and payroll compliance requirements.
