About This Role

- Shape policy and projects that improve custodial health services.
- Turn complex issues into clear advice and practical solutions.
- Help deliver reforms that improve health outcomes for people in custody.
- Build valuable policy and project skills in a meaningful public service role.
- Fixed-term, full-time role earning $116,413 - $140,849 per year, plus super.

What You Will Do As Senior Policy and Project Officer, you will support policy and project work in Justice Health. You will help improve health services for people in custody. You Will

- identify emerging issues and develop practical options to support effective services
- prepare clear briefs, reports and project documents for senior decision makers
- lead key project activities, including planning, risk management and delivery
- support timely responses to inquiries, commissions and regulatory bodies
- build positive working relationships across the department, government and community

About You A suitable tertiary qualification or relevant experience in public policy, health or law would be well regarded. You should have experience in policy work and project management. You Should Also Have

- strong policy knowledge and the ability to understand complex information
- excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on practical advice
- proven project management skills and the ability to meet tight timeframes
- clear communication skills and the ability to work through sensitive issues
