The opportunity
We have a temporary chance for a Senior Policy Officer to Join the EPA. In this role you will review and develop regulatory frameworks, policies, projects and guidance.
You will identify and develop strategic and innovative solutions to improve the EPA’s ability to regulate environmental matters and achieve environment protection more generally across NSW.
About you
You will serve as a passionate advocate for the EPA, striving to achieve tangible outcomes. We encourage individuals from various backgrounds to apply. The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualities:
- Demonstrated motivation and adaptability, accompanied by outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in policy analysis and development with the ability to identify and contribute to the development and implementation of cutting-edge solutions
- Ability to develop guidance material, Executive briefing notes, discussion papers and reports
- The capacity to thrive in a dynamic work workplace and establish strong professional relationships with diverse government agencies and stakeholders.
About the team
This role sits within the EPA’s Regulatory Practice and Services Division, which provides scientific and technical expertise, incident and emergency response, along with regulatory strategy, planning and reporting to support effective environmental regulation. You will join a passionate,
high-performing branch with a strong track record in delivering regulatory practice and driving continuous improvement. The team is united by a shared commitment to delivering meaningful environmental outcomes for the people of NSW.
