Maeve O'Brien & Associates is seeking an experienced Senior Family Lawyer/Special Counsel with well-developed interpersonal, negotiation and technical skills and strong litigation experience to complement our high impact, boutique family law firm.

The role includes running a case load, mentoring and managing/assisting with managing certain aspects of the firm. The successful candidate will also work collaboratively with our Principal lawyer, Melissa Lee, who has many years PAE.

The role provides the chance for autonomous practice, regular Court appearances and growth in management.
n
The case load to be managed includes files in the preliminary advice stage, in pre-filing dispute resolution, as well as in active litigation.

About you
n
The successful candidate will be a Senior Family Lawyer/Special Counsel with at least 8 years PAE and a robust drive to obtain successful outcomes for their clients, carefully considering their goals and all other relevant matters.

The firm is looking for a Senior Family Lawyer/Special Counsel who is ready, willing, and able to hit the ground running. Applications are requested from those with the confidence and skills to strategise and problem solve complex matters efficiently and mentor others to do the same.

This is a full-time position and salary to be negotiated based on experience and ability.
