Prospero Teaching is proud to be partnering with a respected Catholic secondary college in the Ipswich region to appoint a dedicated Religious Education Teacher for a fixed-term maternity leave contract, commencing in Term 3 or Term 4, 2026.

Initially offered through to the end of Term 1, 2027, this position presents the exciting possibility of extending throughout the remainder of 2027.

The Opportunity
Join a supportive Secondary team where you will:

- Teach Religious Education across secondary year levels
- Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that encourage reflection, inquiry, and understanding
- Foster a respectful and inclusive learning environment
- Support students' academic, personal, and spiritual growth
- Monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, assessment, and reporting
- Contribute positively to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the college

About You
You are a passionate and committed educator who:

- Holds relevant secondary teaching qualifications




- Is QCT registered (or eligible for registration)
- Has experience teaching Religious Education or related Humanities subjects
- Demonstrates robust classroom management and student engagement skills
- Is committed to supporting the values and mission of a faith-based school
- Builds strong relationships with students and colleagues
- Brings enthusiasm, professionalism, and a student-centred approach to teaching and learning
