About the Client
Our client is a global leader in the design, manufacture, distribution and servicing of heavy equipment and technology solutions for the construction, mining, forestry and industrial sectors. In Australia, our client provides a comprehensive range of earthmoving, mining, quarry, construction, utility, forestry and materials-handling equipment, supported by extensive parts, maintenance, training, technology and lifecycle services.
What You Will Be Doing
Our client is seeking an experienced and trade certified Boilermaker to join their team in Wacol in a long-term role. Successful candidates will be required to work Monday -Friday, starting at 5:00am 1:06pm. There are also Saturday shifts available.
In this position you will be:
- Complete fabrication, welding and fitting work on brand new construction and mining equipment during the pre-delivery inspection process
- Perform modifications and customisations to heavy mobile equipment in line with customer specifications and manufacturer requirements
- Fabricate and install brackets, guards, frames, mounts, supports and structural components as required
- Carry out welding repairs, adjustments and component modifications to ensure machinery is fit for customer operation
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication plans and technical specifications to complete works accurately
- Complete cutting, grinding, drilling, fitting and assembly tasks using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment
What You Will Need
- Trade certificate
- Previous experience completing the above duties
- Previous experience working on machinery from Komatsu, Caterpillar, Hitachi, Volvo, Liebherr is highly desirable
- Forklift, EWP and Dogging tickets are highly desirable
- Drivers Licence & reliable transport
- Ability to pass a Pre Employment Medical and Drug/Alcohol screen
