Come for the meaningful work. Stay for the people.

Emerge Allied Health is looking for an experienced Speech Pathologist who loves working with children and families and believes great clinical work happens when people feel supported, connected and able to be themselves.

They are an award winning Tasmanian multidisciplinary paediatric allied health team that takes their work seriously, without taking themselves too seriously. At Emerge, you’ll find thoughtful clinical conversations, plenty of shared problem-solving, celebrating and genuine flexibility and a shared commitment to improving access and outcomes for Tasmanians.

They’re proud to have been recognised as Launceston Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year, Winner of the Excellence in Regional Health Innovation Award and Finalists in the Australian Allied Health Awards for Paediatric Excellence and Team Culture Excellence.

About the role

As a Senior Speech Pathologist, you’ll provide neuroaffirming, relationship-based support to children and young people with diverse communication profiles. Depending on your interests and strengths, your role may include:

- Individual assessment and intervention
- AAC, language, literacy, speech and social communication supports
- Working collaboratively with families, educators and other professionals
- Facilitating groups, workshops or community-based programs
- Supporting your team through mentoring or supervision
- Contributing to service development and clinical quality
- Sharing your ideas and philosophy for continued improvement and growth

This is a senior role, but they’re not looking for someone with all the answers. They are looking for someone who is curious, reflective, collaborative and comfortable saying,

“Let’s think this through together.” What you’ll find at Emerge

- A genuinely connected multidisciplinary team
- Support from experienced clinical leaders
- Flexibility that recognises you have a life outside work
- A diverse caseload shaped around your experience and interests
- Protected time for supervision, collaboration and professional development
- Opportunities to lead, mentor, innovate and contribute to community projects

- Established systems and resources, without unnecessary corporate layers
- A workplace where different communication, working and thinking styles are respected
- Humour, warmth and colleagues who understand the importance of a well-timed snack

About you You’ll be a qualified Speech Pathologist with:

- Eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Substantial paediatric clinical experience
- A neuroaffirming and strengths-based approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A commitment to collaborative, family-centred practice and working within a team
- A passion for supervision and mentorship
- Current registration and screening requirements relevant to working with children in Tasmania

Most importantly, you’ll value thoughtful practice, shared learning and being part of a team that genuinely wants one another to do well.
