Job Title: Service Engineer

Remuneration: $98,000 base + Super + Company Vehicle

Our client is seeking a highly visible, site-based engineering professional to join their team in Western Australia as a Service Engineer. This full-time role focuses on delivering exceptional on-site Building Management System (BMS) and Energy Management System (EMS) service and support. You will combine practical technology and engineering skills, application knowledge, and project engineering expertise to assist customers in achieving building performance objectives, including energy efficiency, thermal comfort, indoor environmental quality, amenity, and sustainability targets.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

- Deliver scheduled on-site maintenance and Defects Liability Period (DLP) activities on time to meet contracted obligations.
- Carry out breakdown service calls, communicate ETAs, verify Purchase Orders before attending, and confirm job status with customers.
- Engineer and deliver minor special projects, typically under $10,000.
- Perform full commissioning of inputs/outputs and handle physical installations such as cabling, controllers, sensors, and actuators.
- Document all completed works, findings, and quotes using Pronto Mobility, and submit service reports prior to leaving the site.
- Complete daily timesheets, submit monthly expenses, and ensure proper site folders are utilized on Google Drive.
- Adhere to workplace health and safety requirements (WHSEQ, SWMS) and manage job costs and margins effectively.
- Conduct site check-ups, meet with client representatives,



and resolve raised defects within 30 days to secure ongoing service contracts.
- Ensure subcontractors submit appropriate SWMS, manage competitive materials and labor costs, and submit progress claims for special projects.
- Collaborate with Account Managers and Business Development Managers to price works and identify technology and controller upgrade opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Engineering field.
- At least 3 years post-qualification experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in HVAC plant applications, basic control principles, IT/device networks, and electrical safety.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build rapport with clients, coordinate with support teams, and professionally manage client expectations.
- Strong organizational skills with proactive planning, effective time management, and a discipline for completing tasks on time.
