Are you a passionate Barista or Cafe All-Rounder looking for a role with great hours, penalty rates and a supportive team?

We're currently hiring for multiple café and hospitality outlets across Cairns Airport, including Waddi, Sugar & Cane and Mr Greens.

Whether you're an experienced barista who loves the rush of a high-volume café or you're passionate about coffee and keen to develop your skills, we'd love to hear from you.

Job Description

Are you our next Barista?

n

We're looking for people who take pride in serving excellent coffee and creating a great experience for every customer.

n

Ideally, you'll bring 1 - 2 + years' experience in a busy café or specialty coffee environment, including experience with:

n

n
- Espresso extraction and coffee preparation
n
- Milk texturing and steaming
n
- Latte art - desirable, but not essential
n
- Dialling in coffee by adjusting grinder settings, dose and extraction
n
- Working efficiently during busy periods
n
- Providing friendly, genuine customer service
n

The hours

n

Our cafés operate across a wide range of trading hours, so you'll need to be comfortable working a rotating roster between 4:00am and 10:00pm, including weekends and public holidays.

n

Early starts are part of airport life - but they also come with additional penalty rates.

n

Desired Skills And Experience

A few essentials

n

Because of the early starts and airport location, you must have:

n

n
- A current RSA Certificate - Our cafes are licenced to sell alcohol
n
- A current Driver Licence
n
- Your own vehicle or reliable transport
n
- The ability to get to Cairns Airport for early morning and late-night shifts - there is currently no public transport to the airport
n

n

You'll also need to be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

n

We're primarily looking for Cairns locals and candidates with long-term visa arrangements who can commit to at least 12 months of availability.
