An outstanding opportunity is available for a Consultant Anaesthetist to join a major tertiary referral hospital in Tropical Queensland.

n

This is an opportunity to build your career within a large and supportive anaesthetic department, delivering more than 16,000 procedures annually across 14 operating theatres, with exposure to an exceptional breadth of complex elective and emergency anaesthesia.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The department provides anaesthetic services across a comprehensive range of tertiary specialties, including:

- Cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery
n
- Neurosurgery and neuroradiology
n
- Paediatric anaesthesia
n
- Tertiary obstetrics
n
- Trauma and emergency surgery
n
- Complex general surgery
n
- ENT, urology and plastic surgery
n
- Acute Pain Service
n
- Perioperative medicine
n

ATTRACTIVE REMUNERATION PACKAGE

The position offers a highly competitive remuneration package, including:

- Package up to $546,915 per annum

- 50% attraction and retention allowance

- 5% regional attraction allowance

- Motor vehicle allowance of $21,000–$25,500

ABOUT YOU To Be Considered, You Will Have

- FANZCA, or an international specialist qualification assessed as substantially comparable by ANZCA
n
- Specialist registration with AHPRA, or eligibility to obtain registration
n
- Broad experience in complex elective and emergency anaesthesia
n
- A commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centred care
n
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
n
- An interest in teaching, supervision and ongoing professional development
n
